A hinged accelerator pedal is installed in conjunction with a hand control to allow for more leg room and a more conventional seating position whilst driving with the adaptation.
It is a popular adaptation to have alongside the hand control but it is not possible on all models of car. Where it is possible, we will carry out the design of the product for the specific model.
Throughout August we added three more hinged accelerator pedals by completing the design work on the following cars:
We had already completed a hinged accelerator design for the 5008 MK III but with Stellantis making a mid-life accelerator pedal change, a new design was required for the brand new vehicles.
