Volkswagen Transporter T7 Shuttle with Mobility Scooter Car Hoist

We have completed the boot hoist design for the latest model Volkswagen Transporter Shuttle, known as the T7. The model we adapted was the SWB version with 2 front seats, 3 seats in the middle row and a 3 seater bench as the third row.

The mobility scooter loaded as shown in the photograph just fitted sideways across the back of the vehicle but it was a tight fit and anything slightly larger would need to be lifted in straight. As the vehicle seating style doesn't allow for them to be folded flat to the floor, the third row of seats would need to be fully removed to gain the required space for any larger mobility device.

The Transporter T7 Shuttle is also available with a longer body and this hoist design may also suit that vehicle but we would need to install one to confirm that there were no differences.

This hoist can take a maximum load of up to 150kg and with the vehicle having a large opening it will be a good choice for many of the larger wheelchairs or mobility scooters.
